Emergency services found seven bodies on Saturday after a helicopter crash in northern Italy, Italian media reported. In addition to the Italian pilot, there were four Turkish and two Lebanese nationals on board. The six passengers were in Italy for a trade show.
The helicopter disappeared from radar on Thursday over a hilly and wooded area when the weather was bad. The plane was en route from Lucca in Tuscany to Treviso, a town near Venice.
The Turkish holding company Eczacibasi had chartered the helicopter to transport businessmen. After the plane disappeared, a search was launched. Due to the bad weather in the area, the Italian emergency services initially had few flying hours to locate the helicopter.
