The Latvian judo team was composed of five people, among them students of Liepāja Complex Sports School Ivans Mihaļovs and Maksims Duinovs, informs the representative of the sports school Simona Laiveniece.
Athlete coach Vladimir Shevkov says: “Athletes from 37 continents took part in the competition. Up to 70 athletes competed in one weight category. We can call this the world championship, because everyone took part in it. Ours this time without award-winning places. The competition was followed by a training camp, where we could compete with both strong and weak opponents and gain fighting experience. ”
