‘I will never call our country a narco-state’

After a period of brutal violence, Minister Dilan Yesilgöz (Justice and Security) wants to fight what she herself describes as ‘narcoterror’. She will visit Italy on Monday to learn from the mafia approach. After the murders of lawyer Derk Wiersum and journalist Peter R. de Vries, the VVD minister is trying to turn the tide in the fight against ruthless drug criminals: “That will already be an enormous gain for the Netherlands.”
