The South East Jutland police have stated that they took a blood alcohol level test of the moped driver, which turned out to be of the extraordinary kind.
The test showed that the man in his 40s had four per thousand. The alcohol limit is 0.5.
According to promille.no, there is a risk of loss of consciousness and death with a per mille of four or higher.
– It was a worried citizen who alerted the police because the moped driver was driving unsafe, Ritzau writes.
The man was stopped in the square in Varmdrup, a town just outside Kolding with just under 5,000 inhabitants.

The police have charged the man with drunk driving, and seized his moped.
Driving with more than 2.0 per mille counts in Denmark as “crazy driving”. It also allows the police to deprive people of vehicles with the possibility of confiscation later.
A decision on confiscation must be made by a court. In the event of confiscation, the Danish state takes over the ownership of the vehicle. These rules came into force in 2021.
