TRIBUN-BALI.COM – Persib Bandung will soon get an injection of new energy with the presence of a prospective Asian foreign player who was leaked by the coach, Robert Alberts.
Although reluctant to reveal the identity and country of origin of the player, Robert emphasized that he would soon arrive and join the team soon.
“Yes, we have got (Asian foreign players) for the Liga 1 competition this season,” he told reporters after leading the team’s training at the Sidolig Stadium, Bandung City, Thursday 9 June 2022.
The player is labeled the national team and is currently defending his country.
Interestingly, the player with the national team label no longer needs to carry out the selection process as experienced by the Japanese player, Ryohei Miyazaki, some time ago.
“Not selection anymore, but we will immediately recruit him to play in the President’s Cup as soon as he arrives because now he is still in his country’s national team,” said Robert.
“Once his job is done with his country, he will immediately join us,” he said.
Robert said, considering that the 2022 President’s Cup tournament was getting closer, he decided to make the event an opportunity to monitor his new player.
“We will monitor it during the President’s Cup,” said Robert.
According to Robert, the player will come along with the return of three of his men in the Indonesian national team who are currently struggling in the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers in Kuwait.
