The Big Apple announced that its 2022 Summer Meals program begins June 28 in all five boroughs for anyone under the age of 18.
The New York Summer Food Service Program was established to ensure that during the summer school breaks, children have access to meals as provided during the school year by the National Council on School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. School.
The program is mainly directed towards children in needy areas of the city. Sponsors include public or private nonprofit school food authorities, residential camps, and government agencies.
Designated public schools, community pool centers, parks and food trucks will be open for service. No registration, documentation, or identification is needed to receive a free breakfast or lunch.

MENUS
The city reported that the breakfast and lunch menu meet the standards of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), in addition to the fact that no food additives such as artificial colors, flavors or preservatives are used.
“We offer a variety of fresh fruits, whole grains, vegetables, and salads for kids to enjoy,” you read on the website.

From Tuesday, June 28 to Friday, September 2, 2022
There will be no service on Monday, July 4.

Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
