On Wednesday morning, 22-year-old Jarne van Laethem from Ardooie was killed in an accident along the N49 in Maldegem. Jarne was on his way to his girlfriend in Sint-Laureins when his car slid off the road and crashed into a tree. “He and his girlfriend were just making new plans. We are losing our only son”, says papa Philip, excited.
