#LAST | Government evaluates declaring a holiday this Monday for the Peru vs. match. Australia

The Government is evaluating the possibility of declaring Monday, June 13, a recoverable holiday so that more Peruvians have the opportunity to watch the Peru-Australia playoff match for a place in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, announced the Minister of Culture, Alejandro Salas.

In a dialogue with Radio Nacional, Minister Salas said that “the Council of Ministers is evaluating declaring Monday, June 13, as a recoverable holiday,” for the crucial match of the Peruvian soccer team.

“I am sure there will be a consensus in the Council of Ministers so that all of Peru embraces that day before Peru’s match with Australia,” added the head of the Culture sector.
