Thanks to these results, Al-Nashama (the nickname of the Jordanian National Team) succeeded in shifting the Indonesian national team at the top of the Group A standings for the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification. They were superior in goal productivity than the Garuda squad, which won 2-1 over Kuwait earlier.

The course of the match

First round

Both teams played at a fairly slow tempo when the game started. Both Jordan and Nepal are still looking for enemy weaknesses that can be exploited to launch attacks.

After ten minutes, Jordan is now increasing the tempo of the game which is quite difficult. Several opportunities were obtained, but Jordan was still unable to execute them well.

Nepal continues to show good defense even though it continues to get quite heavy pressure. Until the first half ended there were no goals that could be created by both teams so that Jordan and Nepal still drew 0-0 in the first half.

Second round

Jordan tried to appear more pressing in the second half. Several changes were made, but they still haven’t found the right rhythm to break down Nepal’s solid defense.

Jordan managed to get several opportunities in the last 30 minutes. Even so, Nepal was also able to carry out several counter-attacks which were enough to make Jordan’s defense difficult.

The deadlock was finally solved in the 69th minute. Jordan managed to lead with a narrow 1-0 score created by Ali Olwan with a very good kick. Now, Jordan also managed to excel with a score of 1-0.

In the remaining time, Nepal continues to do its best to be able to provide a good defense. Unfortunately this made their back line commit a violation in the forbidden box so Jordan was awarded a penalty kick.

Hamza Al-Dardour was appointed to be the executor and successfully scored the second goal for Jordan in the 82nd minute. The score of 2-0 for Jordan’s advantage lasted until the end of the match.
