Daina Markova, Executive Director of the festival, explains that taking into account the changes in taxes related to the payment of copyright from 2023, as well as the increase in raw materials, food prices, fuel, electricity and accommodation costs, it is expected that additional funding will be needed to realize the planned holiday. program.
It is planned that the increase in ticket prices for holiday events will be up to 30%, and the organizers plan to increase other own revenues by 30%.
The preparation process for the upcoming XXVII General Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival was also discussed. LNKC director Signe Pujāte reported on the inter-Christmas events. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Council, Minister of Culture Nauris Puntulis (NA).
