After the failure of the Kaunas team in the semi-final series of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL), the team is expected to change. No legionnaires who have played this season will be in the ranks of “Žalgiris” next season, except for Tyler Kavan.
The shooter joined the Kaunas team last summer after two seasons in Moscow’s CSKA.
This season he averaged 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 23 games played at the Euroleague Euroleague. In LKL 34 matches, the Latvian basketball player scored an average of seven points, won 1.6 rebounds and scored 2.8 times.
The last time LKL Kaunas “Žalgiris” did not win in the 2009/2010 season, when it lost to the Vilnius “Rytas” unit in the final.
