Tears consist of several elements, namely water, salt, oil, mucus, and protein. Tears function to lubricate the surface of the eye to keep it smooth and watery, and protect the eye from various foreign objects that can damage the eye.

“When you have dry eyes, the production or composition of tears is disturbed. This is what makes the surface of the eye not lubricated properly, but tears keep coming out,” said Anna when filling a webinar held by JEC, some time ago.
