It’s a farewell after a proud 28 years in TV communication and the timing of this separation leaves room for speculation. After 14 years at Sat.1, Kristina Faßler has been responsible for communications since 2009 at the news channel N24, which has meanwhile been operating independently on the market – here also for marketing and sales was renamed.
Faßler has been working since 2015 as General Manager Marketing and & Commercial Sales for the wholly-owned subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, in which, among other things, the Welt and N24 Doku channels as well as the TV ambitions of “Bild” are bundled. At the same time, the manager has been personally involved in the fight for gender equality for years, publishing on this topic as well as on the importance of diversity.
In 2018, Kristina Faßler was also a co-founder of the Global Women in PR Germany association, has been a member of the jury for the Digital Female Leader Awards since last year and is a mentor to the founder of Queermentor. All topics and attitudes that at Axel Springer were not necessarily reflected in the management style of former tabloid editors-in-chief or the way the top management dealt with them or in current guest contributions.
Where Kristina Faßler is going remains unclear for the time being. She is still on board at WeltN24, but the company will say goodbye soon. At the request of the media magazine DWDL.de, Kristina Faßler does not want to comment on details and motives on Whit Monday, but confirms that she will leave WeltN24 GmbH. The brief information suggests that the busy communicator will possibly express herself via her social media channels.
