Wanted Stig Millehaugen (53) been on the run for four days after he did not show up as agreed in Trondheim prison after leave.

In the first days, the investigation was intensive and hundreds of tips came in to the police.

Now it has calmed down.

– We get slightly fewer tips and observations. Therefore, it is natural that the investigation now enters a new phase, and there are fewer people working on the case, says police inspector Grete Lien Metlid at the Oslo police district.

– The focus now is to process and analyze the material we already have. But that can change quickly. We have continuous people on standby, says Metlid.

She emphasizes that even though the investigation is currently in a calmer phase, this can quickly turn around.

– Our focus is to find this man. Fresh traces are about to disappear, but of course we still hope that there may suddenly be a tip or a breakthrough so that Millehaugen is encountered, says Metlid.

When asked if the police know if Millehaugen is armed, she answers:

– We have no information about that.

The last reliable observations of double murder convict Stig Millehaugen took place on Wednesday. Then he stayed observed at Værnes Airport in Trondheim.

Now police inspector Grete Lien Metlid states that Millehaugen was a passenger on a Norwegian plane that took off at 12.01 from Trondheim and landed at 12.51 in Oslo.

– If anyone was a passenger on that plane and thinks they may have observations of Millehaugen from this trip, then we want them to contact us, says Metlid.

Norwegian confirms to VG that the plane that went from Værnes to Oslo had flight number DY 757.

The same afternoon around 2 p.m. Millehaugen left Oslo Central Station on foot.

Then he had a black backpack on his back.

LAST PICTURE: This is the last surveillance photo taken by Millehaugen, as he leaves Oslo Central Station on foot on Wednesday 1 June, around 2 p.m.

The police do not want to comment on information related to the black backpack that Millehaugen was observed with at Oslo Central Station.

– It is part of the investigation that we currently choose not to say anything about. The important point is that he had clearly planned to move on, says Metlid.

On Thursday, the Oslo police district carried out actions in several places, including a large police operation in Vinterbro in the morning. Later in the afternoon a person became arrested and charged with assistance at another address. He was released after questioning.

This person is now no longer in the focus of the police, Metlid confirms.

– He has collaborated, and we have received the information we need. He is no longer central to the investigation, says Metlid.
