At the end of the concert, Prince Charles and Prince William took the stage. The latter spoke of her – and also of her husband, Prince Philip, who died last year – commitment to environmental protection, while Prince Charles paid a very personal tribute to his mother. He told the audience, “what really wakes her to life in the morning is all of you.” – You used to hang out with us and talk to us. You laughed and cried with us, and most importantly, you have been with us for these seventy years. You have made a commitment to serve your entire life – and you continue to do so.
