Death of Thierno Mamadou: “it is unacceptable that the Guinean’s blood continues to flow” (Makalé Camara)

The death of young Thierno Mamadou Diallo during a spontaneous demonstration in Conakry earlier this week continues to arouse reactions.

In a note she sent to our editorial office, Makalé Camara, president of the FAN party condemned with the utmost energy this murder, the very first under the transition led by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.

“The FAN party strongly and desperately regrets the death of an innocent man, Thierno Mamadou DIALLO, another death too many, a young person, the youth of Guinea, the one on whom we rely, to build and pull our country upwards. Nope! It is inadmissible, unacceptable that the Guinean’s blood continues to flow for so long already. Guineans have only one war to wage, that against underdevelopment, ignorance, poverty and all the shortcomings that drag us down. We want to launch a vibrant appeal to all political actors but also those in government to favor peace, to live together, to have pity on citizens who are tired of wars of ego and wars of individual interests. The people of Guinea ask for only one thing, to have leaders who have empathy, compassion and who administer them with wisdom and kindness,” she wrote.

In addition, the former minister said she hoped that all measures would be taken to locate the responsibilities and punish the culprits of this murder.
