The Cidade da Cultura once again hosted, after two years of hiatus, the Holi Gaiás race, inspired by the Holi festival in India. The festive spirit that celebrates spring with an explosion of music and colors was experienced again in a five-kilometre route around the exterior of the enclosure, for children and adults. The test was organized by the Xunta, with the sponsorship of Viaqua and the collaboration of the Galician Athletics Federation, Coca-Cola and Gadis. The Minister of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Roman Rodriguezparticipated in the awards ceremony together with Ana Isabel Vazquezmanaging director of the Cidade da Cultura, and Sonia DelpontDirector of Communication and Marketing at Viaqua.
The awards were in the female children’s category for Marta Losada Briones, Daniela Beiras Veiga y Lola Villar Alvite; in male child, they prevailed Miguel Barreiro Rio, Carlos Alvarez Perez y Pedro Munoz Fandino. In adults, they won in the female category Ararat Pazos Meixus, Maria del Carmen Rodriguez y Victoria Marcos Gomez; and in masculine, Efrén Capelo, Jesus Cela Boisa y Francisco Pazos Campos.
