The university domain, located between the municipalities of Saint-Martin-d’Hères and Gières, covers 185 hectares and sees some 40,000 people pass through during the day. “In the past, in the 1960s, this was market gardening land where peasant families cultivated the land and sold their produce at the market in the center of Grenoble”, says Noëlle Dumolard.
