We expect an influx of refugees from Russia, said Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer.
Wealthy people and skilled workers will come first. Last week we held a meeting with companies that have business in Russia and Belarus to discuss how we can attract specialists, said the Minister of BTV.
If Bulgaria takes good measures, it will win and retain highly skilled workers, Lorer stressed.
The minister explained that the influx of emigrants in the coming months will be caused by the deteriorating economic situation in Russia. If Bulgaria creates a mechanism for accepting workers from Russia and Belarus, we will have several thousand qualified specialists in the coming months, Lorer said.
However, he did not specify what specific measures the cabinet is planning.
Attracting smart investments and green economy investments are the government’s priorities, the minister said.
