Hof van Cleve is not only the best restaurant in our country. It also turns out to be the seventh most expensive Michelin restaurant in the world. This is according to a new list from the specialized British website Money.

It will come as a surprise to few that it is the most expensive restaurant in Paris. At Guy Savoy you pay about 530 euros for the cheapest menu. Kitcho Arashiyama in Kyoto (Japan) and Arpège in Paris complete the top three. But not very deep in that list is also the best Belgian restaurant, Hof van Cleve in Kruisem. There you currently pay 390 euros for the vegetarian menu without wines. This puts it in eighth place in the ranking.

Remarkable: according to the list of the British site Money, the second best restaurant, King’s Joy in Beijing, is also the cheapest Michelin restaurant. There you pay converted 100 euros for a menu.
