Macrameweave – a modern fusion of two of the world’s oldest textile arts – macrame and weaving! In this course you will learn the basics of macramé knotting and weaving, and take home a finished Macrameweave wall hanging.
On the first appointment, after a short introduction, you will design your own macrame wall hanging, which will form the structure for your Macraweave. You will learn all the important knots that you can then use for many other products. On the second appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to add weaving elements and accents from a selection of beautiful ropes and yarns, adding even more texture, color, and complexity to your piece.
The course fee includes all materials and personal instruction.
Dörte Bundt has been a freelance macrame artist since 2015. Her distinctive creations and installations can be seen in restaurants, hotels and private interiors worldwide and have been featured in magazines such as Elle Decor, Cosmopolitan, Focus, Zeit Magazin and The Weekender. With her label California Dreaming, Dörte shares her enthusiasm and know-how in regularly booked workshops in Berlin and Zurich.
