ASVEL once again dominates Dijon

Match 2 was tighter than match 1, but ASVEL beat Dijon again on Friday (101-90) for the Betclic Elite semi-finals, getting a little closer to the final. On Wednesday, ASVEL had largely outclassed Dijon (81-68) in the first match of these Betclic Elite semi-finals. The course of the game was quite different. If Villeurbanne, at home, broke away during the first quarter, the meeting then tightened. At the start of the third quarter, Dijon came back to 57-57 then passed (70-72) thanks to a 3-point shot from David Holston. But TJ Parker’s men took off in the fourth quarter (29-15) to finally win with a gap of eleven points. Villeurbanne will be able to seek its place in the final from match 3, Monday in Dijon. It will be without Victor Wembanyama, who would be hit in the psoas. The great 18-year-old French hope is out until the end of the season.
