Everywhere in the Netherlands, traditional campsites are making way for slick holiday parks. For the regular guests, such a metamorphosis often means a forced farewell to their beloved ‘second home’ in nature. No more canteen bingo but yoga sessions and Teslas instead of Opels report at the barrier. Fortunately, there is still old-fashioned camping fun in Ouddorp. Partly thanks to a park owner who considers himself “not nice at all”.
