German musician Westbam or real name Maximilian Lenz (Maximilian Lenz) began his career as a musician in 1978 in his hometown of Münster. Westbam began his career as a DJ in 1983, and a year later the musician moved to Berlin, following his mentor, a German techno music legend and one of the Mayday William Rotger, the organizer of the festival (William Rottger). In 1985, Westbam published an influential article What is Record-art?, in which he told about the techniques of playing a DJ and claimed that a DJ is a musician – someone who creates his own songs and recordings. A couple of years later, the Goethe-Institut joined the Westbam project, which performed at the Seoul Olympics. Westbam also performed at the first Berlin Love Parade 1989 and is the only artist to perform at the well-known festival every time until 2008, and has been Love Parade author of the anthem from 1997 to 2008. In 1991, daylight was seen Mayday, one of the most important modern techno festivals. Westbam was both the first and the last Mayday initiator and one of the organizers. To date, Westbam has released more than a dozen albums, countless singles, remixes and compilations. The musician has collaborated with Iggy Pop, Richard Butler (Richard Butler), Lil Vaijnu (Lil Wayne)Braienu Molko (Brian Molko)Hugh Cornwall (Hugh Cornwell) and many others.
Together with Westbam, East Bam or Roberts Gobziņš, a long-time member of Westbam, will take the stage. They have performed several times together in Berlin and elsewhere in Europe, and East Bam has also recorded several Westbam songs.
