Jakarta –
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is reluctant to comment on the fact that there are no SOEs sponsoring it Formula E. Anies stated that currently his party is more focused on the success of the Formula E event on June 4.
“No. We are basically, we are all preparing to organize, it’s only 2 days left, at this phase our concentration is to make sure all plans go well. The world looks at Jakarta, looks at Indonesia and we want this to be an opportunity to bring Indonesia’s good name to the world arena,” said Anies at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Jl Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Thursday (2/6/2022).
Anies hopes that all parties can provide support for the upcoming electric car event. The former Minister of Education and Culture saw that this event was able to call on the world to take part in dealing with global warming.
“Giving a message to the world that the citizens of Jakarta want to take responsibility in dealing with global warming problems, and we have a contribution to the air that we have so far, by improving it, we improve the world. So that’s it event Formula E,” he said.
“So we hope for support for all, pray God willing, it goes well,” he continued.
Previously, Chief Executive Formula E Jakarta’s Ahmad Sahroni poked fun at BUMN for not sponsoring the electric car race at the Ancol circuit this weekend. SOE Minister Erick Thohir just smiled and chose not to comment.
“No comment“Erick told reporters after attending the National Gathering (Silatnas) NasDem, Thursday (2/6/2022). Erick was asked by the media crew regarding the absence of SOEs sponsoring Formula E Jakarta.
detik.com has also tried to contact the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga to ask for a response regarding Sahroni’s statement. But there is no answer yet.
The Chief Executive of Formula E Jakarta, Ahmad Sahroni, previously uploaded a statement regarding BUMN not providing sponsorship to event international racing. Sahroni said his party paid full to PLN.
“BUMN does not provide any sponsorship, we also pay PLN for electricity in full. Sorry, BUMN is part of the Republic of Indonesia, right? @kementerianbumn,” wrote Sahroni through his Instagram account, @ahmadsahroni88.
Sahroni also said that he was sorry to ask for sponsorship from BUMN for the sake of Indonesia. Not for the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan or the Provincial Government of DKI.
“I conveyed earlier today about BUMN. Why are people against ‘you desperately asked for sponsors yesterday.’ Monas.
Sahroni said that he was pleading with BUMN because in Indonesia there was a Formula E event. He emphasized that sponsorship from BUMN was not a matter of funds, but a form of the presence of government institutions.
