A scandal between two groups of neighbors in the Rhodopes ended in stabbing, and later with the death of one of them. It all started on Tuesday night in front of a house in Rakitovo’s Zapad neighborhood.
Then, in one of the rooms of the house, the 30-year-old host, affected by what was happening, took a kitchen knife and stabbed the two 35-year-old opponents. The victims were transported and accommodated in the Velingrad Hospital. Unfortunately, a little later one of them died. The other has superficial wounds and injuries and is not life-threatening.
After receiving a signal about what happened, on-duty teams were immediately sent to the police station in Rakitovo and the Regional Office in Velingrad. An inspection of the scene of the accident was carried out, material evidence related to the committed crime was seized. An on-duty prosecutor from the Pazardzhik District Prosecutor’s Office was immediately notified of the incident.
The author of the stabbing, his 52-year-old father and 31-year-old brother were detained for 24 hours. The perpetrator is a criminal. The crime is qualified under Art. 118 in connection with Art. 116 para 1 item 4 of the Penal Code.
The term of detention of the perpetrator was extended by a decree of the supervising prosecutor by 72 hours. The work on the case continues, pre-trial proceedings are underway.
