Latest News Search for Eril, Ridwan Kamil’s Son and Important Point on the Swiss Aare River

KOMPAS.com – The search for Emmeril Khan Mumtadz (Eril), the son of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, who went missing in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, is still ongoing until the seventh day, Wednesday (1/6/2022).

Quoted from a release on the Kemlu.go.id website, the Head of Protocol for the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Beatrice Schaer met Ridwan Kamil and his wife Atalia, who was accompanied by the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland, Muliaman Hadad.

Ambassador Schaer stressed the Swiss Government’s full support for the search for Eril and made the search for Eril a top priority.

Ambassador Schaer also confirmed that the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close communication with the Bern City Police and is monitoring the progress of the search for Eril.

Search point

The search for Eril in the Aare River continues to be intensified with land patrol methods, boats, and drones.

The focus of today’s search is in the Marzili area to the Engehalde floodgate.

In addition, patrols will also continue to be carried out from the Schwellenmaetelli area to Wohlensee.

Ridwan Kamil and Atalia are still directly examining several potential points along the banks of the Aare river.

The route taken by Ridwan Kamil and Atalia includes a land route and some river areas that are safe for humans to explore.

Previously, it was reported that the Indonesian Embassy in Bern received news of the disappearance of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz or Eril in the Aare River, Bern City, Switzerland, on Thursday (26/5/2022) at 11.24.

The search for Eril by the SAR team involved elements of the police, maritime police and firefighters, and was supported by the Government of the Canton of Bern.

This intensive search effort is still ongoing and will continue.
