Subsidies Removed, Bulk Cooking Oil Prices Starting to Drop?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Bulk cooking oil subsidies revoked government on May 31, 2022 at 23:59 WIB.

After the withdrawal of the program, cooking oil price Bulk is observed to begin to decline even though it has not yet touched the Highest Retail Price (HET), which is Rp. 14,000 per liter.

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, Wednesday (1/6/2022), nationally, the price of bulk cooking oil is perched at Rp 18,300 per kilogram. This figure is down by Rp. 100 when compared to yesterday’s price.

In almost all provinces, the price of bulk cooking oil has also decreased.

For example, in Padang City, on May 24, 2022, the price of bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp. 15,750 per kilogram. Then it decreased to Rp 15,650 per kilogram.

Likewise in Riau Province. The price of bulk cooking oil in Riau on May 24, 2022 was still priced at IDR 17,750 per kilogram, then dropped to IDR 17,450.

Then in the city of Bandung, it also dropped, which was originally priced at Rp. 19,500 per kilogram on May 24, 2022, down to Rp. 18,900 per kilogram.

Then in DKI Jakarta, the price of bulk cooking oil fell from Rp 19,850 to Rp 18,700.

Pesanggarahan Market in South Jakarta is the market with the highest price of bulk cooking oil at Rp. 20,000 per kilogram and Pasar Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, which has the cheapest cooking oil price, which is priced at Rp. 15,500 per kilogram.
