A still mysterious affair. An investigation was opened after the discovery on Tuesday evening of the body of a man in his fifties, bound hand and foot, at his home in La Sentinelle, near Valenciennes (North).
The cause of death of this 50-year-old, a priori “not known” to the police and the justice system, was not yet identified on Wednesday afternoon, said this AFP source familiar with the matter, confirming information of The voice of the North. According to the first elements, he was not shot, but the autopsy was to confirm these findings.
A burglary gone wrong?
“There was disorder” in his apartment, said the AFP source, without being able to say at this stage whether objects had been stolen. “It’s quite enigmatic at the moment,” she added.
The judicial police have been seized.
