The first scenes show the title hero Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) again in a predicament. By breaking the Mandalorian’s number one rule – removing his helmet – the Armorer (Emily Swallow) tells him that his chances of forgiveness are nil. However, Din Djarin does not want to give up just yet and therefore travels to Mandalore together with Baby Yoda aka Grogu to ask Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) for forgiveness. Since the Mandalorian herself doesn’t believe in the helmet rule, Din might be in luck. Especially since the trailer makes it appear that Bo-Katan has taken the Mandalorian throne.

In 2016, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” not only told a fantastic prelude to “Star Wars”, the action-packed spectacle also presented fans with new characters such as Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and Cassian Andor (Diego Luna). The latter will have its own series on Disney+ from August 31.

In “Andor”, however, the destruction of the Death Star does not yet play a role. Instead, viewers are allowed to get to know the title character better. Long before he met Jyn Erso and became the hero of the rebellion, he was already fighting the evil Empire. But he didn’t have to face the mighty enemy alone back then either, the trailer introduces numerous new characters and brings back Senator Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly). What fans can expect from the characters they know and the new ones will be revealed on Disney+ starting August 31.

Ahsoka Tano is getting her own series
Ahsoka Tano made a name for himself as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan many years ago in various “Star Wars” animated series. After making her live-action debut in guest appearances in ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ as Rosario Dawson, she returns to Disney+ in 2023 with her own series.

With filming only beginning in early May, there is no exact start date for the new series just yet, but an exclusive teaser was shown at the Star Wars Celebration. Accordingly, Ahsoka is not going on a solo adventure, because her “Star Wars Rebels” crew, consisting of Sabine Wren and Hera, are also there. Together they want to find their friend Ezra. He sacrificed himself at the end of “Star Wars Rebels” and disappeared with the dangerous Grand Admiral Thrawn in a hyperspace jump.
