Garmin Forerunner 255 now available in Portugal for 349 euros
Garmin is expanding its range of smartwatches with two new models aimed at running, Forerunner 955 and ForeRunner 255. The latter model is the most affordable and is now available in Portugal for a cost of 349.99 euros.
At just 32 grams, the Forerunner 255 offers water resistance of up to 5ATM and a battery life of up to 14 days, but if the GPS is always on, the battery life drops to 30 hours.
Targeted at running, the new wearable includes full triathlon support and multi-band GPS for even more accurate metrics. It also has a widget that gives users race preparation information, such as the weather on D-day, a countdown clock and even performance predictions.
The Forerunner 255 also provides a kind of daily morning report, in which the user is informed about the weather for that day, an analysis of the sleep quality of the previous night and even an exercise recommendation for that day.
This model also has a Music variant, in addition to monitoring the energy levels of the athlete’s body, informing about the ideal recovery times until the next physical activity session and also providing adaptable training that includes 5 and 10 km programs, as well as like a half marathon.
Garmin Forerunner 955 includes a solar-powered variant
In turn, the new Garmin Forerunner 955 is also now available in Portugal for a cost of 549.99 euros and includes a solar variant that provides autonomy of up to 15 days in smartwatch mode and up to 42 hours with GPS. Through the integrated touchscreen, the user can access maps and statistics about their physical activity.
In addition to integrating the same features as the ForeRunner 255, this premium 955 model also provides essential running metrics such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time, balance, and more.
It monitors the effort in real time and helps the athlete to manage his physical abilities throughout the training time to avoid efforts at inopportune moments.
Moreover, it also allows you to change exercises with activity profiles for cycling, triathlon, swimming in pools and open water, running on the track, among other activities.
