AMSTERDAM – After more than ten years of consultation between politicians, social partners and pension funds, the bill for a new pension system is in the House of Representatives. It involves quite a bit, such as the amount of €1800 billion in accrued pension assets. And the question is whether it is still opportune now that interest rates are rising again and indexation is on the horizon.
