teddle. From June 1st to August 26th, 2022, the Emigration Museum BallinStadt Hamburg, in cooperation with LEGO® enthusiasts from Stein Hanse eV, presents the special exhibition “Lisas and Mads’ fantastic journey through space and time”. Visitors accompany Lisa and Mads on their captivating journey through history in the time-jump suitcase. At the beginning of the exhibition, the two are “beamed” from the “real world” into a LEGO® world and transform into LEGO® figures.
A total of 60 large models will be shown on an exhibition area of around 400 square meters. Built from half a million original LEGO® bricks. “It’s exciting how such impressive models are created from the small stones,” says Volker Reimers, Managing Director of BallinStadt. “We combine this with an exciting story and a colorful design, in which the theme of BallinStadt, migration, is of course reflected. Of course, the focus is on being amazed at the great models, but the children also learn something along the way.”
Martin Horn, Chairman of Stein Hanse eV, adds: “We regularly organize LEGO® exhibitions throughout Northern Germany. But such a loving overall staging of our models is really extraordinary. This also sets new standards for us. It will be a special experience for all guests and LEGO® fans”. The accompanying adventure rally for children combines creative WOW effects with instructive AHA moments. Perfect for the family outing. The journey through space and time leads from historic Hamburg to ancient Rome, to the pharaohs and pyramids, to the USA in the present and into the universe of the future. During the exhibition, visitors repeatedly encounter historical personalities such as Julius Caesar, the western hero Wyatt Earp, the Queen or Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
