“It’s like it used to be and that’s just nice,” emphasized Tatar at a press conference in Eisenstadt. “People get more security that the concerts will take place and, above all, in an atmosphere that took place before Corona.” All events in Burgenland, some of which have been planned since 2020 and have been postponed again and again, will now also take place. “The bands will come and we will be there,” said the Barracuda boss.
„Lovely Days“ am 9. Juli
The Lovely Days Festival will take place in the Eisenstadt Palace Park on July 9th with Deep Purple and Uriah Heep, among others. Then, on July 15, Sting will be on stage in the park, accompanied by his son Joe Sumner, who will open the day as support act. Van Morrison plays at the quarry in St. Margarethen on July 19th. The demand for all three events is good, Tatar said confidently that they will take place in front of a sold-out house. For 2023 it is planned to expand the offer and to organize more concerts.
Construction work at Nova Rock
According to the organizer, construction work is currently underway at the Nova Rock, which starts on June 9th. The weather forecast is good, as is the crowd: “I expect that the Nova Rock will be sold out before the weekend,” said Tatar. It may even be heading towards a new visitor record with well over 200,000 guests.
The past two years have been a “hard time” – not only Corona, but also the bankruptcy of the Commerzialbank, in which Barracuda lost 34 million euros, have affected the organizer. Tatar emphasized that he was all the more euphoric that things were about to start again.
