“Dnepr Operational” published unique footage of Ukrainian helicopters flying to the Azovstal plant.

Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters with equipment, water, medicines and ammunition flew to the defenders in the blocked Mariupol 7 times. These were unique special operations supervised by specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Azov Regiment.

16 Mi-8 helicopters flew to Azovstal. To carry out the operation, the military had to fly at an ultra-low altitude deep into the occupied territory for more than 100 km.

During the fifth and seventh missions, Russian forces are known to have shot down two helicopters. During an attempt to help one of them, the third side was destroyed.

Earlier, the head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov, told the details of the operations in an interview with The War Zone. In addition to medical and food aid, 72 Azov fighters were transferred to Mariupol.

Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the heroism of the pilots who delivered food and water to Azovstal. The President noted that 90% of the pilots did not return, since the Russian invaders effectively used air defense systems.

May 30 ORDO militants threatened to execute Ukrainian defenders from Azovstal. All of them will appear before the court of the pseudo-republic.
