Giant duel in the quarterfinals of the French Open!
What a fight from Rafael Nadal (35)! After five sets and more than four hours of play, Nadal won the round of 16 against Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime (21) and thus entered the round of eight. Now the 13-time king of Paris meets world number one Novak Djokovic (35) in the early final. The cracker match is scheduled for 8:45 p.m. DAZN (Advertisement) and Eurosport show the game live. All information about the transfer can be found here!
Djokovic had significantly less trouble than Nadal on the way to the quarterfinals. The Serb defeated Argentinian Diego Schwartzman (29) 6: 1, 6: 3, 6: 3, then said: “I’m very happy with my performance. But it’s not over yet.”
The two tennis stars meet for the 59th time today. It couldn’t be more balanced: Djokovic won 32 times, Nadal won 28 times. The Serb is aiming for his 21st Grand Slam title. If Djokovic wins the French Open 2022, he will draw level with Nadal.
“We know each other very well and have a lot of history together. I’ll definitely fight to the end,” Nadal announced ahead of the quarterfinals. “I’m ready,” assured Djokovic: “I like how I feel and how I hit the ball.”
