The award ceremony is scheduled for June 7 and will be attended by María Rosenfeldt, daughter of Barbara Allende, and her sister, also a photographer Patricia Allende.
With this gesture, PHotoEspaña will pay tribute, they have explained, to an “exceptional photographer who is already in the history of Spanish photography and who is one of the most relevant names of her generation at an international level”.
Ouka Lele was one of the figures of the last edition of the Festival, where she presented the exhibition “Supernova” at the Circle of Fine Artsorganized in collaboration with the Archivo Lafuente.
The exhibition explored the artistic origins of the National Photography Award, through photographic works, drawings, audiovisual materials and editorial projects from the 70s and 80s, many of them unpublished.
