Bologna, 29 May 2022 – Thirty May: school general strike proclaimed by Flc Cgil; Cisl School; Uil School; Snals and Gilda for the whole day. The whole a few days before the last bell that will sound Saturday 4th June in some cases and Friday 3 June in others. Given the trade union audience, it is likely that some schools will remain closed or at least there are inefficiencies with deferred entrances, early exits or, for medium and high schools, hole hours.
There are many reasons for this strike which however pivot “against the invasion of the field operated by the Government with the Law decree n. 36 of 30 April 2022 in matters, salary and career, which are the exclusive competence of the negotiating parties “.
The reasons for the strike
For this the school unions they ask, among other things, the removal from the decree of all matters of a contractual nature; the immediate start of the negotiation for the renewal of the contract, expired for three years; the implementation of resources for the review and adaptation of Ata profiles (technical administrative staff, ndr) and for the equalization of the salary of school staff to other state employees of equal qualifications and educational qualifications and the gradual approach to the salary of European colleagues.
And again, the elimination of excesses of bureaucracy in the work of teachers; the return of the training of all school staff to the sphere of competence of school autonomy and the teaching staff; the revision of the current parameters for assigning staff to schools for teaching, educational and Ata staff; there reduction in the number of pupils per class; specific methods of recruitment and stabilization on historically consolidated positions in the de facto staff that go beyond the existing precarious work; simplified procedures, for those with substantial work experience, access to the role and to the qualification paths.
Then, again, the increase of the staff of school collaborators of 2,288 units according to the ministerial commitment; the announcement of the reserved competition for Administrative Assistants Acting as DSGA (Director of general services; ndr) with three years of service in the function even if without a qualification; the simplification of administrative procedures to free the secretariats from improper tasks (pensions, career reconstruction, school rankings) by re-internalizing those pertaining to the school administration and the revision of the regulation on Ata substitutes.
