Senior politician Ilham Arief Sirajuddin (IAS), who decided to leave Democratic party, attended a Halalbihalal event for Golkar Party cadres in Makassar, South Sulawesi. It is said that IAS will be confirmed as a Golkar Party cadre in the event.
Reported detiksulselThe halalbihalal event was held at the Four Point Hotel by Sheraton Makassar, Sunday (29/5/2022). IAS came wearing a black cap, white koko shirt, and black cloth pants.
Golkar Party sympathizers were also seen starting to arrive at the halalbihalal event. They came wearing yellow clothes that read ‘Ilham Arief Sirajuddin New Spirit 2024’ on the front, while the back reads ‘IAS is Back’.
From observations, the stage has been installed in the room with the background of the Golkar Party logo. Not only that, a photo of the chairman of Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto, was also displayed with the words ‘Airlangga Hartarto my President’.
A number of figures who were present at this event included the Chairman of the South Sulawesi DPRD who is also the administrator of the South Sulawesi Golkar DPD, Andi Ina Kartika Sari; the chairman of Golkar Soppeng who is also the Regent of Soppeng, Kaswadi Razak; and other Golkar politicians, namely Waris Halid, Nurhaldin Halid, and Hamzah Pangki.
One of the halalbihalal organizing committee, Nasruddin Upel, said his party was targeting 3,000 people to attend. They are said to be enthusiastic about welcoming IAS, which will be confirmed as a Golkar cadre.
