The new Honda CB500F brought a lot of technical improvements, which contributed to the motorcycle’s emotional maturity. The biggest changes took place on the chassis. The original front suspension was replaced by a first-class inverted 41mm Showa SFF-BP fork. The brakes have also been improved. There are now two radial two-piston Nissin brake calipers on the front wheel, which bite into discs with a diameter of 296 millimeters. Lighter wheel rims and a redesigned swingarm further improve driving characteristics. The Japanese engineers also won with the weight loss. The center of gravity of the machine has moved slightly forward compared to the previous model, which has improved the overall handling of the bike. As for the engine, it remained essentially the same as last year. The fuel injection system settings have only been slightly adjusted.
