Authorities are searching for the man suspected of repeatedly stabbing a man without provocation on a Manhattan street, New York City Police said.
According to the authorities’ report, the attack occurred in broad daylight on Thursday, around 1:50 pm, when the victim, a 29-year-old man, was on the corner of 3rd Avenue y East 63rd Street. At that moment the alleged attacker approached him from behind and for no reason took out a knife and began to stab him several times in the back and left arm before running away.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital and he is in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, of medium build and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, a black balaclava mask, black jeans and black sneakers. The individual was seen prior to the attack on a black electric bicycle at the scene of the incident.
