In 2 months the horror comes!

The peak of energy inflation is expected in a month or two. This is stated in a report of the European Commission for Bulgaria.

According to Brussels our government needs to pay more attention to the aid that is granted. The European Commission reports that suspension of Russian gas supplies to our country will lead to a significant one-time increase in gas prices in 2022.

The European Commission recommends that Bulgaria reduce its dependence on fossil fuels by replacing them with renewable energy sources. State aid must be temporary and better targeted so that it does not become a burden on the budget.

“We need to carefully analyze who suffers the most from the increase in energy sources, which goods are most expensive and help people who consume these goods,” said Tsvetan Kyulanov, head of the European Commission (EC) in Bulgaria, quoted by bTV.

Isn’t he wearing a hat?

This approach is really not optimal. The measures should be really temporary and targeted, ie. so that when the need for this measure passes, it can be stopped.

According to the Minister of Innovation, the government is looking for just this balance between caring for business and people and financial discipline.

“To have a deficit within the limits necessary for Bulgaria, so that we can enter the eurozone on January 1, 2024, as we promised. At the moment, this is happening and I believe that we are on schedule, “said Daniel Lorer, Minister for Innovation and Growth.

At the economic forum in Davos, the president of the European Central Bank said he expects Bulgaria and Croatia to join the eurozone soon.

“In the eurozone, two new members will soon join – Croatia, as well as Bulgaria, which is next in line. Thus, 21 countries will soon be in a common club with a common currency standard, “said Christine Lagarde – President of the ECB.
