Seven Companies Become Local Sponsors of Formula E Jakarta, Value Reaches IDR 100 Billion

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – At least, there are seven domestic companies that have signed cooperation to become sponsors Formula E Jakarta, which will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) on June 4, 2022.

“It’s true, there are already seven local companies that will become sponsors,” said Head of the Jakarta Formula E Executive Committee, Ahmad Sahroni at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Saturday (28/5/2022).

Sahroni said that the seven domestic companies were gadget retailer Erafone, Bank Arta Graha Internasional, Hotel Discovery Ancol, Gulavit, Electronic City, Paprika, and MS Glow for Men.

Sahroni said, of the seven sponsors, at least the value of the cooperation reached Rp 100 billion.

“It’s true (total value of Rp 100 billion). The value includes the seven sponsors,” said Sahroni.

In addition to local sponsors, there are a number of global sponsors brought by the Formula E Operation (FEO) for this grand event next week.

Reported on the site fiaformulae.comThe leading global sponsors are watch company Tag Heuer, DHL shipping, Saudia airlines, Allianz banking, BOSCH, Enel x Way, BOSS, beer companies Heineken and Moet & Chandon, Copper.co and Antovagasta Minerals.

Sahroni previously confirmed that no sponsor logo from beer companies would be displayed in the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 racing event.

“We have agreed that there will be no Heineken logo in the circuit area. In addition, there will be no use of country alcohol in the awarding ceremony of the champion trophy. Logo replaced with tagline reads ‘When you drive, never drink’,” said Sahroni in a written statement, Friday (27/5/2022).

Sahroni said that beer sponsors and Formula E Operation (FEO) were committed to respecting local culture and avoiding the use of liquor.

“So they will adapt to the conditions of their respective countries. This is a commitment that has been confirmed from the start,” said Sahroni.

According to him, the beer company is not an official sponsor of the Jakarta E-Prix, but a global sponsor of FEO.

Due to its nature as a global sponsor, Heineken is present in various Formula E racing series.
