Hail, accompanied by a hurricane, fell in Zlatograd this afternoon. The intense rain lasted about 10 minutes. The streets and yards of the people were covered with pieces of ice.
“Our harvest has been destroyed,” locals complain. It is said that Zlatograd has never seen such a storm. You can see the video HERE i HERE.
Footage on social media shows the damage caused by the unprecedented element. There is a 15-20 cm ice cover on the streets.
For Saturday, weather forecasters announced a yellow code for 5 districts for heavy rainfall and hail: Sofia district, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech and Gabrovo.
Yellow code for potentially dangerous weather has been announced for Kyustendil region, Pernik region, Sofia-city, Vidin, Montana, Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse.
