4. Now toast the six slices of toast.
5. Spread four of the toast slices with the salad-mayonnaise-mustard mixture. Then top two of them with the chicken breast fillet. Then the other two slices of toast come with the salad mixture on top.
6. The tomato slices are placed on the toast slice tower, followed by the hard-boiled and sliced eggs. Now put the bacon on top and season everything again.
7. Now put the two remaining slices of toast on top and fix everything with a toothpick skewer. Cut diagonally once. Finished!
Good Appetite
The Briton John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich (1718-1792) is generally considered to be the inventor of the sandwich. “He had slices of roast clamped between two slices of bread so that he could eat this sandwich, which will be named after him, at the gaming table without cutlery,” explains cookbook author Margit Proebst from the history of the famous snack. Since then, countless variants of the sandwich have developed, and true classics such as the club sandwich, which is now served all over the world, have emerged.
