Indonesian National Team Player A Maulana Vikri officially leave FK Senica. Here are three European clubs that could be Egy’s next destination.
The certainty of Egy leaving the Slovak League club was confirmed by his agent, Dusan Bogdanovic. He revealed that Egy was not tied to FK Senica since one month ago.
“Egy is not a Senica player anymore. We terminated the contract one month ago,” Dusan told CNNIndonesia.com via text message, Saturday (28/5).
Dusan has not been able to reveal the club that will be Egy’s next port.
But if you look at his track record, the 21-year-old player is still considered worthy of continuing his career in Europe.
Here are three clubs that could be Egy’s next landing:
1. Lechia Gdansk
Egy had defended Polish League club Lechia Gdansk for three seasons from 2018 to 2021. During his time there, he was trusted to defend the junior and senior teams.
In the main squad, the player who graduated from SKO Ragunan only played 11 times in the Extralasa League with a total flying time of 132 minutes. While in the Lechia Gdansk reserve team he appeared 23 times and scored 17 goals.
If Egy returns to Lechia Gdansk, the player from Medan will reunite with Witan Sulaeman, who has ended his loan spell at FK Senica.
The certainty of Lechia Gdansk qualifying for the 2022/2023 UEFA Conference League can open the opportunity for Egy and Witan to represent Indonesian players on the European football stage.
2. Oxford United
Oxford United could be Egy Maulana Vikri’s next port club. This is because the majority stake in the English League third caste club is now owned by the Indonesian businessman and Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir.
Erick’s connection can increase Egy’s chances of tasting the English football stage.
If Egy joins Oxford United, it is not impossible that he will face his teammate in the Indonesian national team, Elkan Baggott, who is now in Ipswich Town’s uniform.
3. Like 1907
Indonesian connections in European clubs can also pave the way for Egy Maulana Vikri’s career. Italian Serie B club, Como 1907, is one of them.
The club, which is currently owned by the Djarum Group, managed to move up the caste to Serie B after winning Serie C in the 2020/2021 season. Como’s ability to survive in the second tier of the Italian League can be one proof that the club has potential.
Egy will get a new experience if given the opportunity to have a career in Italy. He also had the opportunity to face Gianluigi Buffon who is now defending Parma.
