Wii Power (suing Nintendo?) Has demonstrated a prototype GaN charger of an incredible 340 w.
340 w is enough for the most powerful gaming machines
The chargers are mainly aimed at laptops, but with so much power you can plug them into anything (even an Intel MacBook Pro 16 ″) without being afraid that there is not enough w.
The charger is no larger than 150 x 86 x 34 mm and delivers 20 volts and as much as 17 amps. Of course, USB C is in place with USB PowerDelivery – the other ports are expected to deliver far more modest 45 w.
We have not heard of this solution before
The company also demonstrated a 240 w charger with 3 x USB C and 1 x USB C with a twist.
It’s not bad that one of the ports can deliver 140 w and the other a full 100 – the special thing is that you can connect an adapter to connect the two ports and provide a full 240 w. The other ports provide 30 w which is still more than enough for mobiles.
There is currently no launch information available, but it will take some time, as long as the design is not completed.
