SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP., May 27, 2022.- In an extraordinary session, the Plenary Session of the Cabildo of San Luis Potosí unanimously approved the donation of a property for the National Guard, whose headquarters will be in the Villa de Pozos delegation, with which the Capital City Council collaborates in the prevention of crimes and administrative faults, to safeguard the integrity of people and their assets.
The municipal president, Enrique Galindo Ceballos, thanked through a press release the Cabildo’s unanimous commitment to security, which confirms the support for the Federal Government and the Mexican Army in matters of public security, which undoubtedly strengthens the policy in this topic: “This is the first step to consolidate the presence of the National Guard in San Luis, which will have a positive impact on the quality of life of the potosinas and potosinos.”
The Permanent Commission of Municipal Finance highlighted that the land, of more than 29 thousand 763 square meters, is located in the D’Rada subdivision, whose donation is for the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), with which it seeks to guarantee, maintain and establish order and social peace, in addition to strengthening the deployment and presence of the National Guard in the Municipality. To do this, it requires permanent facilities to fulfill the missions of this federal force.
Likewise, it was announced that the project implies a company headquarters; Administrative office; academy and healing rooms; training area; officers accommodation; bathrooms and showers; dinning room; kitchen; laundry; transport train; green areas; basketball and soccer field; wastewater treatment plant and heliport; among others.
Before this approval, in the tenth ordinary session of the Cabildo, the joint Commissions of the Interior; Human Rights and Citizen Participation; Commerce, Advertisements and Shows; as well as that of Vulnerable Groups; They presented to the Plenary the update of the Bullfighting Regulation and the Regulation of Public Shows to comply with the recommendation issued by the State Human Rights Commission, in order to regulate the access of minors to bullfights. This initiative was also approved unanimously.
The councilor who heads the Governance Commission, Alexandra Daniela Cid González, highlighted the different work groups in which the initiative was analyzed, presented by the municipal president, Enrique Galindo, and that finally, thanks to the seriousness and professionalism of the incumbents of each Building Commission involved: Elodia Gutiérrez, Gustavo Mercado and Alejandro Casillas, in addition to their members, this initiative was carried out, taking into account different opinions and criteria.
Among the approved changes, the issuance of a permit by the Directorate of Commerce stands out, at the request of the mother, father or guardian, so that minors can attend the bullfights; said municipal dependency will have 120 business days to create the procedures to follow for the issuance of said authorization.
Finally, also in the Cabildo, the proposal of the mayor of San Luis, Enrique Galindo, that they be Jorge Edgardo Cazares Rivas, owner, and Ana María del Campo Torres, as substitute; the representatives of the Municipalities of the Entity before the State Court of Conciliation and Arbitration.
