Würzburg: feasibility study on cycling… | Radio Gong Wuerzburg

How can it be made safer for cyclists around the Löwenbrücke in Würzburg? This topic has been discussed for years – now there is a feasibility study, which the Free State is funding 80 percent.

The aim is to relieve traffic on the bridge. After all, it’s tight there – drivers, trams, pedestrians and cyclists have to share the bridge over the Main. Many cyclists therefore switch to the sidewalk.

In recent years there has been talk of a cycle path across the bridge, but there has also been talk of a dedicated cycle bridge next to the Löwenbrücke. The feasibility study is intended to show which of these can be realised.
