It’s official: Metz full-back Thomas Delaine is leaving Lorraine for Alsace. He has signed up with Strasbourg until 2025.
It had been unofficial for several weeks. It is now official. After four seasons at Saint-Symphorien, first in Ligue 2 then in Ligue 1, Thomas Delaine signed a three-year contract for RC Strasbourg, 6th in Ligue 1 this season. He had reached the end of his contract.
The 30-year-old left-back defender played 107 games and scored 4 goals for Messi. It was with the garnet club that he won the Ligue 2 title in 2018/2019.
In Alsace, Delaine will make up for the departure of Anthony Caci, leaving for Mainz, Germany.
